Game Details

This was a November 1996 upgrade kit for Midway's NBA Hangtime from April 1996. Its main perk is updated rosters, including then-rookies like Allen Iverson and Stephon Marbury. Otherwise, aside from the usual bug fixes and a few tweaks to the secret codes, it's essentially the same game as Hangtime. It had its own marquee as well as an extra cardboard placard to place on top of the machine, trumpeting the new chipset.

*** by DanElektro. Comment: "I have a particular fondness for this one. Double dunks and alley-oops are great, but the computer A.I. still suffers from major cheese, making single-player games frustrating. Four-player matches, however, rock. " (2000-07-26 12:59:25Z)
