The Fantasy boardset consists of 3 boards: 2 game boards and an auxiliary
sound/voice board. The sound board is not just an amplifier, it contains
PROMs. The boards can be identified as follows:

   SK-6 Voice P.C. Board
   SK-7 Game P.C. Board
Has 44 pin edge connector and 6502 CPU.
   SK-8 Game P.C. Board
Has one 8-pos DIP switch, one 6-pos DIP switch, an MC6845P chip.

The SK-7 and SK-8 boards have two 50-pin ribbon cables joining them,
and the boards are facing opposite each other.

I have only seen "SK-7a", "587", and "587a" printed on the SK-7 board.
I have only seen "SK-8a" printed on the SK-8 board.
I do not have an SK-6 board.

The game wiring diagram does not show the SK-6 Voice PC Board. It only
shows a 100 Ohm volume control pot on the coin door with a 3-pin molex
connector:

Pin 1 goes to Pin 21 on game board and Speaker (Speaker -)
Pin 2 is labeled "Audio Volume Speaker" (Speaker +)
Pin 3 is labeled "Audio Output" (goes to pin 18 on game board)

The game wiring diagram shows the speaker with these two labels:

   Audio (Volume Control)
Audio Common (goes to pin 21 on game board)

There is a schematic for the Voice PC Board, but it doesn't appear to have
any useful pinouts. Possibly Pins 1 and 2 are Gnd, pins 19 and 20 are +5V,
and pin 6P is Audio Output. The schematic shows the following chips on
this board: 555 Timer (at least 8 pins), HD38880 Speech Synthesizer (at
least 28 pins), HD38882 EPROM Interface (at least 39 pins), 74LS138 1 of 8
Decoder/Demultiplexer (at least 15 pins), three 2716 chips (Voice PROM 1,
Voice PROM 2, and Voice PROM 3), and an 74LS174 Hex D Type Flip-Flop (at
least 15 pins). The parts list for this board also lists a "20 Conductor
Ribbon Cable Assembly".

If anyone has more details they can give me on this Voice Board, e.g. Is it
necessary? If it is, what are the pinouts? Do you have one you would sell
me?, please let me know.
