The controller wiring, is the buttons, and the horizontal and vertical
control axis. These are labeled on pins, M, R, U, 12 and 20.

Remember, that when hooking up the controller, you are hooking up two
potentiometers that act like voltage dividers. You need to hook up +5
and ground to each pot, and the signal wire goes to the middle tab. If
after it's all hooked up, a direction needs to be reversed, simply swap
the +5 and ground wires on that pot that needs to be reversed.

The trigger input may be shared with both trigger buttons.

To start the game, TRIGGER must be grounded.
The Left and Right Thumb buttons are not used to start the game.

Use self test to set game options.

In this pinout, vertical now means the direction forward and backward,
while
horizontal means the direction left and right. A 5K pot is used for
each of the
vertical and horizontal inputs, just like Star Wars and The Empire
Strikes Back.
