**** by Radarscope. Comment: "The R-Type Video game was actually manufactured in Redman, Wa by Nintendo of America and not by Irem. Yes everthing But the main PCB was put together by Nintendo. Irem may have put together the PCB but not the up-right. It was Nintendo's last coin-op game before thay closed that department. " (2005-10-07 17:47:29Z)

**** by TvTuna. Comment: "As hard as it is simple. The 1 hit kills ( lose all weapons ) are still just as annoying as they were when it first came out, still, worth the perseverance just to see the end guys. The Original PCB's considered a rarity and may be cheaper ( and easier ) to purchase a copy board." (2001-01-17 07:36:20Z)

Gravitar Control Panel in a Space Duel Cabinet
Submitted by John Lee (jhlee@hac2arpa.hac.com) The following describes how to connect an Atari Gravitar control panel to the Atari Space Duel cabinet harness. Both the Gravitor control panel and game PCB are virtual drop-in substitutes into the Space Duel cabinet. However, while the Gravitar panel has a 12-pin Molex-type connector, Space Duel uses a 24-pin AMP-type connector. Fortunately, the Space Duel control panel signals are a superset of Gravitar's. In my own conversion, I made a small

IC List
Timing information for ICs is not yet available, and only TTL, 4000-series CMOS and some microprocessor (support) chips are included. For now, it is not clear how the format used can be extended to include linear ICs, as these usually require much more additional information such as a block diagram. The current file uses the PC8 character set (a.k.a. codepage 437), but can be converted to 7-bit ASCII without too much trouble (losing some niceties). As it is, it is small and simple enough to keep it in you

Bunp and Jump ------------- This information comes from two different schematics. One appears to be a generic schematic for the board set, and the other is a schematic for the Bump and Jump wiring harness. I haven't verified which is really correct, but I would assume the wiring harness schematic is correct for Bump and Jump. This is the pinout for the single board version of Popeye (its the only version I have seen but I guess there is another type). I got this pinout from Rick Scheive (thanks Rick) and I have used it to test boards. I believe the left side is the parts side but its best to verify orientation with your meter.
