Game Details
With the runaway success of the original NBA Jam, the industry was ready
for a sequel. NBA Jam Tournament Edition offered new players, new secrets,
new dunks, and other features. The game was available as an upgrade kit
for existing 4-player NBA Jam/JAMMA cabinets, or as a dedicated unit.
The game is JAMMA compatible, and like Jam, features the sound chips on a
second PCB, connected to the main with a ribbon cable. Future Midway
sports games put the sound ICs on the main PCB.
