Game Details
Open Ice does for hockey what NBA Jam does for basketball--reduces it to
its action-oriented essentials. It's very similar to Jam in many
ways--same four-player controls, same design team (Turmell/Divita), and
same "three-shots-and-you're-on-fire" gameplay. The action is extremely
fast, and the board is one of the more popular among collectors. Open Ice
was available as a dedicated machine and an upgrade kit.
Open Ice will run on the standard Jam/Hangtime four-player JAMMA hardware
without modification.
