Game Summary

A Capcom Quiz/Trivia game based on the atmosphere of their "King of Dragons" and "Dungeons and Dragons" games.

Hardware Platform: Capcom System 1

Game Details

One of Capcom's strangest releases, Quiz and Dragons combines the atmosphere and graphics of games like "Dungeons and Dragons" and "King of Dragons" with a fun and hilarious board game-esque Trivia game. Your character can be chosen from 4: Knight, Wizard, Ninja (?), and Valkyrie. Depending on the character chosen, various "special moves" can be used to make the trivia questions easier. Questions include many pop-culture references, and some are very hard to answer.

Example: "What band was Lemmy Kilmister in before leaving it to form Motorhead?"

Even as a fan of Motorhead, that question is tough. To the average game player, it would be nearly impossible.

By rolling a "die," your character moves along a board. Depending on where he or she lands, an enemy will be faced. Each enemy requires a certain number of correct trivia answers to "kill" them. Helpful spaces such as Inns and Fairies can also be landed on, and if questions are answered correctly they will help you in various ways. At the end of each level, a large Dragon (which takes 8+ correct answers to defeat!) must be beaten in order to move on.

The game can be played with up to 2 players, and is a lot more fun and re-playable than one might imagine.

Highly reccomended as an oddity/party game for anyone who has a JAMMA setup.

The Dead Battery Society
The Dead Battery Society isn't reall a society at all. It's just a web page. Membership dues are not required. ;-) You may have heard the term "suicide battery" used before and wondered what the heck it meant. Several arcade game manufacturers decided it would be a good idea to put a battery on their game boards that, when they die (and they will die), disable the game. Why they did this isn't exactly clear. Is it a way to artificially limit the lifespan of their games? Is it an anti-piracy mea
