Hardware Platform: Sega ST-V System
A classic photo booth that can be reconfigured to print stickers. Has two verified styles of printers and can print one, four or sixteen pictures to a page in beautiful photo-quality images.
The important thing is, of course, the consumables. The first printer, which is shown in the manual is any one of a number of Mistubishi DyeSublimation printers.
The second printer is listed as the YP-2301PT, which appears to be a somewhat stock UP-2300 series dye-sublimation printer, but it may have custom hardware. Costs of 200 sheets of paper plus a full color cartridge can cost in the ballpark of $100.
This is a wonderful "game" for true arcades to have, as the quality is wonderful and the only downfall besides supply chain problems is the danger of the printer jamming. Our Sony jammed the day we got it, but has been fine since.
by StrikeFerret. Comment: "We have a replacement printer in our machine, but I finally managed to figure out what both are. The stock printer is a dye-sublimation Mitsubishi printer. The current printer (which appears to be modified to work specifically with the game) is a Sony UP-2301. It is officially listed as a YP-2301PT in the manual. I hope this saves people the three days I've had." (2003-12-23 18:48:26Z)
