Game Summary

Ten fighters duke it out in one-on-one battles, in order to reach the boss, Gargos, and win the Ultratech Tournament.

Game Details

Distributed jointly by Midway and Nintendo, developed by Rare.

This game, a sequel to the 1995 fighter Killer Instinct, featured the series' trademark rendered characters, including returning favorites like Sabrewulf (the hulking werewolf) and Orchid (the scantily-clad female agent), and featured three new characters: Tusk (a muscular barbarian), Kim Wu (a young female ninja), and Maya (an icy blonde Amazon).

The Killer Instinct 2 arcade board featured a Seagate hard drive, which allowed the game to display full motion video screens. Member Ratings / Comments

**** by jeffczerniak. Comment: "A good sequel but could have been better the first game had a better feel and smoother graphics while this clearly has a better combo system and easier shadow combos all in all a fine specimen." 2001-05-18 10:53:50Z
