Game Details
Released in May 1999, Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike added Chun-Li to the roster along with four new characters—Makoto, Remy, Q, and Twelve—bringing the total to 19, with Akuma now selectable. Returning characters received new stages, endings, and updated voice work, continuing the series’ storyline.
Gameplay adjustments include modified air parries, throws, and leap attacks from 2nd Impact, and the introduction of Guard Parry (Red Parry) during guard stun. A new Judgement System grades players after matches based on offense, defense, techniques, and bonuses.
Single-player mode involves ten opponents, including a character-specific rival and Gill as the final boss (except for Gill, whose final boss is Alex). Q appears as a secret CPU opponent. Minigames from previous entries return, including Parry the Ball and a new version of Crush the Car.
