Strikers 1945 III builds on the arcade shoot ’em up formula with updated graphics, fast-paced vertical scrolling action, and a variety of advanced aircraft. Each fighter has different weapons and special attacks; bullets will fly fast toward players in thick formations, and bigger multi-phase bosses loom large considering they take up one-third of the screen. Players can focus on chaining their combos and power-ups as much as surviving the violence of tight pure action stages. In addition to the solid controls, solid combat, and special attacks, explosions and special lighting effects amid the backgrounds result in a polished and intense combat game. It builds on the existing game mechanics featured previously.
