Street Fighter EX Plus, released in arcades on March 31, 1997, expanded the original EX by making all previously hidden characters, including Garuda and M. Bison, selectable by default. It also introduced four new hidden characters—Evil Ryu from Alpha 2, an alternate Hokuto called Bloody Hokuto, and two cyborgs, Cycloid-β and Cycloid-γ—bringing the total roster to 21.
